Kathryn Grogan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker trained in Clinical practice. Kathryn was raised in Northeast Columbia and has provided a variety of services to children and adolescents in the Midlands area for over 10 years. Prior to her work with SMC, Kathryn was a School Based Mental Health Counselor at Nursery Rd and Leaphart Elementary schools with Lexington County Community Mental Health. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and Masters of Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She has provided Early Intervention services to young children with Developmental Delays and their families through Easter Seals. Kathryn also has experience as a Nanny, Preschool teacher, and swim instructor. She addressed behavioral issues and family dynamics each setting. As a Social Worker at the Palmetto Health Medically Fragile Children’s program, Kathryn assisted families dealing with new diagnoses and navigating Medical and behavioral issues. Kathryn specializes in counseling Attention Deficit issues, Anxiety, Trauma, Bereavement, Parenting and Developmental Delays.
