Bryan Rabon has lived in Lexington for almost 20 years and has made this community his home. He is originally from North Carolina where he grew up north of Charlotte in the town of Statesville. He originally came to South Carolina in 1991 to attend Charleston Southern University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a secondary major in Religion. He then returned to North Carolina to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary just North of Raleigh in Wake Forest where he received his Master of Divinity with a focus in the area of Counseling in 1999. While there, he married his wife Amy and they had our first child in 1999. After finishing this degree, he and his family moved to Lexington, SC and began their lives in this community. He and his wife have now been married for 21 years and have 2 daughters. They enjoy attending and serving in their local church, traveling, and spending time together as a family.
As he has worked in the mental health field, he has since furthered his education by taking post graduate courses through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and continues to work to increase his knowledge and awareness of people's struggles and ways that he can help them. He received his LPC-I license in 2007 and completed his internship in 2009. He has served as a mental health counselor for over 10 years now through Lexington Baptist Counseling Center, Lexington Community Mental Health Center, and now, for the last 5 years, with SouthernMED Counseling. For him, counseling is a ministry so he seeks to serve all who need help in this area through a faith based counseling approach that incorporates several different psychological disciplines. He has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, seniors and families. He has worked with attention deficit issues, behavioral and conduct issues, faith issues, men's issues, family issues, mood issues including depression and anxiety, and continues to find new ways to serve on a regular basis. At this point, he primarily works with clients who are adolescents and older and generally works to engage with people with a focus on them and their needs that helps him to find an individualized effort for the specific Client. He looks forward to meeting you and considering ways that you can work together to address your needs.
