We provide counseling services to help improve the quality of life for clients in the Lexington, Columbia, and Irmo areas.

SouthernMED Counseling offers therapeutic services to people of all ages and life-stages. Our experienced staff includes clinicians from several different fields including Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family therapy, Social work, and Psychology. Our staff will offer you a private consultation to identify issues and concerns, a personalized intervention plan, and support throughout the counseling process. Services We Provide

Individual Counseling
One-on-one services provided for children, adolescents and adults in order to examine emotional, behavioral, social, academic/work, spiritual and interpersonal relationships and how they influence thoughts and behaviors.

Family Therapy

Family therapy services are offered to explore issues related to family life. This could include marital conflict, parent-child relationships, family development, and many other family concerns.

Psycho-educational Evaluation

Psycho-educational evaluations are provided for children and young adults from ages 3 through 21. These evaluations may address cognitive ability, academic skills, social/emotional development, adaptive functioning, and behavioral development. Diagnosis of special needs including ADHD, learning disability (including dyslexia), and intellectual disability are provided. College Accommodations Evaluations for college-bound learning disabled and ADHD students are available.

Group Therapy

We offer group therapy to promote learning and life change within a small group of people who share common concerns. Groups are composed of 3-8 individuals. Group dates and topics vary depending on community needs. Please contact our office for more information or to suggest a topic.

Parenting Support
